Agate Wave Brooch
This completely unique agate brooch is based on a collection of observations of colours and textures from around the coastline of my home on the Island of Islay, on Scotlands west coast.
I've selected an agate that mirrors the variations of subtle colours and coral like forms in the seaweed that lines the rocks and rock pools along the coast. The textural silver element depicts the rolling waves and a golden seaweed ribbon set with a pink sapphire hangs from the waves giving the brooch some movement.
